“The Hills at Whitecraigs luxury retirement village”
CONSTRUCTION of a luxury 60 million retirement village south of
Glasgow, named The Hills at Whitecraigs, will begin in the first
quarter of next year, after developer Scotsbridge Holdings received
full planning consent.
Scotsbridge said it was now targeting other suitable locations for
similar developments, citing a pipeline of overseas investment.
The Hills at Whitecraigs, which is being built on a 17-acre “countryside
setting”, will comprise 214 flats, 38 cottages and an 80-bed care home.
The image will also feature a central two-storey club house, a
bar, cafe and community facilities. It will also include pools, spa
facilities, a fitness suite, multi-use spaces for community events, a
contemporary restaurant and suites.
Scotsbridge director Shazad Bakhsh said: “As people live longer there is
growing demand for high-quality accommodation that will meet their
changing needs, also help them to enjoy a full, active and varied
lifestyle,”
